Full Description

This Practice provides requirements for manufacturing and testing 300-volt-rated instrumentation tray cable (Type ITC). This Practice describes the technical requirements for manufacturing, inspection, testing, and shipping of insulated copper or thermocouple alloy conductor cable for 300-volt-rated multiple conductor instrumentation tray cable in single and multiple pair and triad construction. Pairs or triads may include individual shields or an overall shield.

The following cable types are addressed by this Practice:

Single pair instrument signal cable (16 AWG minimum) with overall shield
Single pair thermocouple extension cable (16 AWG minimum) with overall shield
Single triad instrument signal cable (16 AWG minimum) with overall shield
Multi-pair instrument signal cable (20 AWG minimum) with overall shield
Multi-pair thermocouple extension cable (20 AWG minimum) with individual and overall shields
Multi-pair instrument signal cable (20 AWG minimum) with individual and overall shields
Multi-triad instrument signal cable (20 AWG minimum) with overall shield
Multi-triad instrument signal cable (20 AWG minimum) with individual and overall shields
