Description / Abstract:
The data supplement for this document is a single zip file archive that contains test data files for scenarios described in Sections 2.2.1.2.3, 2.2.2.2.3, and 2.2.3.2.3 of the requirements sections of the MOPS and Sections 2.4.8.2.3, 2.4.9.2.3, and 2.4.10.2.3 of the test sections of the MOPS. Test data files are provided in Excel 2016 (*.xlsx) format and content represents input to end user or manufacturer systems. Individual tabs exist for each of the 14 historical accident cases. All available telemetry data have been included for each case. Compared to the original TSO-151c content, the Cali case has been enhanced with more detailed data and the Birmingham case has been added. Appendix A to this introduction includes the same additional accident details that were included in the TSO-151c supplement. Appendix B then adds a more recent case included in a more recent update of these test cases. The breadth of data for each CFIT case varies based on historical data available. As such, some of the trajectories have only a limited parameter set available. Manufacturers will need to provide reasonable assumptions for the missing data when generating test conditions. It is acceptable and expected for manufacturers to make adaptations to the data in order to fill potentially missing variables. For example, assumptions on ground speed can be made where only a vertical profile provided with no time axis available. Use of existing data to the extent possible is advised. For example, assumptions on Flight Path Angle can be made based on Vertical Speed and Computed Airspeed.
