ANSI Z 245.1 -2012

Provides requirements for construction, reconstruction, modification, care, maintainance, operation, and use of mobile wastes or recylclable materials collection, transportation and compaction equipment to promote safety and safe operations as they relate to the equipment . The standard identifies requirements for the following refuse col lecting and compacting equipment mounted on refuse truck chasis : rear-loading, front -loading, and side loading compacting equipment; tilt frame and hoist-type equipment; grapple loaders; satellite vehicles ; waste transfer vehicles; recycling collection vehicles; and mechanized container collecting and lifting equipment.
