It applies to tools having a voltage rating not exceeding 250 V.1.2This Standard applies to:hand tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, nut runners, tappers, hammers, impact wrenches, saws, sanders, polishers, buffers, shears, nibblers, grinders, staplers, valve seat grinders and lappers, cylinder borers, and concrete vibrators.1.3This Standard applies to transportable tools such as:diamond core drills, drain cleaners, magnetic drill presses, and pipe benders.1.4Requirements for cord-connected double-insulated tools are specified in Clause 7.1.5This Standard does not apply to (a) electric bench tools covered in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 71.2; or (b) motor-operated gardening appliances covered in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 147.
