This slide presentation outlines information on Capital Improvement Planning for water/wastewater security projects, and the uncertainty in future legislative requirements. The goal of this project is to assist senior utility managers in understanding several points that include: effectiveness/ineffectiveness of security technologies;ongoing programs to test effectiveness of new andemerging technologies;likely funding priorities for security improvements;decision process of timing/phasing of securityprojects; and,lessons already learned by others. Topics covered include: GAO Committee experiences;utility survey questions;utility interview results;ongoing water security research projects;security project experience/lessons learned; and,conclusions.
