This powerpoint presentation presents AwwaRF Project 3133 that has the objective of identifying, evaluating anddemonstrating technologies that can beused to locate plastic and other nonconductivematerials. Advanced locating technologies are presented, including: radar; advanced electromagnetic; and, acoustic. Advantages/disadvantages are given for all three technologies. The presentation also highlights Differential Impedance, the subject of anotherAwwaRF Project #2967, and presents its objective, Phase 2 accomplishments, and summarizes results. The Cast-Iron Joint Locator, OTD Funding, Project 20488, is presented and has the objective of locating cast-iron joints andother features. The Advanced Tracer Wire,AwwaRF Co-funding, Project 3050, is a wireless signal injectiontechnique that eliminates the need for anexposed contact to tracer wire. Includes figures.
